Hi everybody,

I kept my BTC on Electrum during the BTC Gold fork.

But I forgot to claim them.

Afer the fork I have moved my BTC to my Ledger Nano S. The Ledger BTG Split Tool returns nothing.

Is there any way to still claim my BTG?

P.S.: How do I claim BTC Private (BTCP)?

That is the problems of most bitcoin users who used ledger nano. If bitcoin holders are not well equipped with such knowledge on how to claim such forked coins just like me then I have a solution to that problem. If in case there is a coming fork do some research and find some exchanges like yobit that entertains and gives you forked coins as long as you have btc in your account. So instead of making it hard to get those forked coins you just need to deposit your btc in an exchange to receive your forked coins two weeks before the fork begins.

In case there is a fork coming you make sure you have your private keys, you have sent your btc to another address before claiming, and you're best off to NOT put your btc on an exchange for this purpose.

I got a little confused here. You moved your coins from electrum only after the fork correct? I'm assuming you hold the private keys of the electrum address where you used to hold the coins. It really doesn't matter where you moved the coins after the fork, because the address associated with your bitcoin gold is still the address where the BTC was, during the fork.

So you should be able to see your bitcoin gold coins on a bitcoin gold explorer. There are several ways to claim those coins from that address, and an easy one is to use the coinomi wallet.

It's possible, but if you're going to do it you're going to do it you're going to have to be aware that there is a massive inherent risk with doing this without moving the coins off of the wallet that you're trying to get money from. ALWAYS ensure to move the coins before you proceed with something like this

There are also a massive amount of guides online which will help, makesure to follow them to the teeth.

He already said that he moved the coins from that address to the ledger nano s. I don't know the ledger btc split tool, but I'm assuming it's a tool that's meant to be used to claim coins from ledger addresses and not from electrum, and that is probably why the OP is having trouble.

Like I said before he needs to claim the coins from the electrum address. Anyway, if you put any more coins on that address, do remove them for safety reasons. Also, since you will be giving away your pk from that address, I suggest you to never use it again after claiming your coins.
