Tradehill still has my BTC from when it first shut down. I sent them an email as soon as I found out about the shutdown, which was in April 2012. I didn't receive any notice that they got shutdown either. A week later Jered Kenna from Tradehill emailed me back saying
"Jered, May 05 16:58 (PDT):
Can you send me an email from
XXXXX@XX.com for security purposes?
I see XXX BTC and XXX USD. We no longer use Dwolla. They removed $176,000 from our account without mentioning anything and changed their TOS. I can send a check to a US address and the BTC to a Bitcoin address. I'm closing this ticket now so if you can copy/paste and send from
XXXXX@XX.com I'll get this taken care of. Thanks.
Jered Kenna
Chief Executive Officer
TradeHill / BItcoin.com"
I then emailed him a few days later from my email address I used with Tradehill and gave him an address to send the money to. I never heard back after that. I have sent multiple emails asking what is going on with my BTC and never got a response. I have tried these email addresses:
claim@tradehill.com,
support@tradehill.com,
info@tradehill.com,
jered@tradehill.com. I tried to contact Jered on Twitter as well.
Is there another way to contact him? I know there are others in the same boat who have contacted him and he said he'd send their money but never did. I would like to resolve this without filing a lawsuit. I know Jared is busy, but it's been over 1 and half years. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
