FacexWorm attempted to steal credentials of users’ Google accounts and crypto trading platforms. It tried to exploit users through a combination of methods including through Chrome extension and Facebook messenger. Google has since removed the Chrome extension.

Even some of my random friends that I don't know are sending messages to me that contains links and I never clicked them, I am afraid that it is the same as spam messages in emails and contains malware when you are directed to the clicked site. It's getting dangerous out there, we should secure our credentials to the fullest.
