Bitfinex to Build High Performance Decentralized Exchange on the EOS.IO Platform

Today we are proud to announce EOSfinex — the first high performance decentralised exchange to be built on EOS.IO technology.

In order to continue pushing the boundaries of market leading services, EOSfinex will combine the scalability and speed of EOS.IO with Bitfinex’s industry-leading expertise to deliver an “on chain” exchange designed to offer a fast, transparent and trustless platform for the trading of digital assets.

A continuous goal of Bitfinex has been to research and sandbox the capabilities of various protocol-level technologies that meet the rigorous requirements of a high volume, blockchain-based trading platform. This vision has led us to EOS.IO, whose goal of processing tens of thousands of transactions per seconds, with minimal fees and confirmation times, is heavily aligned with our ambition.

“We are excited to leverage EOS.IO to further advance the field of high performance and trustless on-chain exchange. Block.one continues to display an unwavering dedication to improving blockchain scalability through the EOS.IO platform and it is our hope that this collaboration will allow significant advancement for all decentralised exchange” commented J.L. van der Velde, Bitfinex CEO.
“Our experience indicates that these advancements represent fundamentally transformative capabilities for the blockchain industry, and Bitfinex remains dedicated to leveraging the latest innovations to continue offering the world’s leading trading experience.”
About EOS.IO
Published by Block.one, EOS.IO is a blockchain protocol that enables horizontal scaling of decentralized applications, allowing developers to efficiently create high performance distributed applications. The EOS.IO software provides accounts, authentication, databases, and the scheduling of applications across multiple CPU cores and/or clusters. This allows for horizontal scalability, replaces user fees with an ownership model, and powers simple deployment of decentralized applications.

Best regards for you. “Everyone can be success but with brave and hard working”
There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Is the EOS platform online already? Maybe they should work on that first before announcing anything. I would be very certain that the early stages of deployment will be full of bugs.

Still no reply? They should be careful what they hype then. EOS today is just a token in the Ethereum platform. It has no blockchain, no nodes, no network. But does it have a testnet?

I am not trying to put EOS down. The project could be good, but hyping it with nothing except a whitepaper and some code that will surely be buggy, like all untested software, is bad.
