Yeah, well, I'm gonna go build my own blockchain. With blackjack and hookers! In fact forget the blockchain.

I wonder how you ended up having 100's of wallet.dat files from different versions of bitcoin-qt...?
I am not sure whether I would like the story.

Backup before upgrading on every release, never deleting old backups, being around for a long time. I've I would've been here since '09 I would most likely also have a couple hunderd wallet files by now. And I can see that in the early days, you would be experimenting even more with wallets and thus needing more backups.

I'll gladly check it, but you have no way to know that I'm not taking your private keys and absconding with the loot. An open-source tool or hand-checking is probably your best bet.

To get you started, you will need something like e.g. Pywallet,
some scripting language (I'd do it in Perl),
put all wallet.dat files into one directory,
have the script open the files,
export private keys into a text file (with Pywallet),
import the private keys into one new wallet.
Easy. If your wallets are encrypted, it'll be more trouble, though.
