This coins have their base in litecoin code, and have great communities, but almost 0 new features.
Our main interest is not to make money, is to have a great community, make new friends and explore new crypto ideas.

The problem is that there is like 100 Litecoin clones. If you want success you would have to modify the algo, so CPU miners have a chance in the first weeks, until a GPU miner comes out.

pure cpu mining is quite vulnerable to vps mining and botnets, im still waiting for the coin that uses gpu power along with cpu, im not a coder or anything so i have no clue if its possible, but it fights the unbalanced big mining rigs, be even more asic resistant (scrypt asics seem to be coming) and should be pretty crappy for vps/botnet mining. Your normally balanced cpu/gpu pcs will be the bulk of the miners and the coin would be well spread for a more stable market (you only cant stop the whale buyers/sellers i guess..)

I think the developers should surely be compensated for time spent on a project, but anything that looks premined has lately taken alot of flack,the best way I have read is if your very clear about how much of a percent is to go toward the development team, with it clear at the start people can choose into the project or opt out completely, as a novice crypto player here I would hope more ingenious projects are clear that a percent is going to development instead of devs sneaking a way that looks bad but cannot be proven.

The win factor of this could would have to be a really solid new feature that no other coin provides. Such as a whole new algorithm like someone mentioned earlier on this forum. Not sure if your devs are able to accomplish that but it sure will be the selling point that will definitely interest a lot of investors.

Instead of premining it, ask for a couple of donations that goes towards the project? And when you release it I bet you will start mining it, and then can pay back a fair amount of coins that is agreed upon before the launch?

Now after having read a little about datacoin and I really like the idea around something like PTS and being able to earn a return on a digital currency, would it be possible to store coins in a blockchain? With them in the open is there a way for them to be secure? If so could something be made that you pay a fee for deposit your coins into and come back 1-5 years and collect interest on them?
Could it be possible to deposit other coins such as BTC, LTC, PTS or whichever, I think yes
Could mining (forging) be done by depositors when they turn on their computer? small amounts of processing, why not?
This is surely a way to decentralize banking, I have no clue how all this programming works, I just have high hopes that something like this would be possible, and when I read about datacoin, well you get a crazy idea....
