I'd add, as a newbie myself :

- Do your own research. Do your homework. Understand what bitcoin, money, banks, protocols, etc really are.
- Don't blindly follow an advice from any stranger on the Internet (or IRL for that matter). That includes this forum.
- Don't follow the dollar parity too closely. I'm guilty of this one myself Smiley
- have precise personnal goals. And stick to it.

That's about it for me I think.
