Help This Noob Please with nvoc

Hello sorry to bother you all but im new to this. I downloaded nvoc and mounted it to a usb drive. I then tried to boot my mining machine off of the usb drive and it just sits at a black screen with the typing thing just blinking at the top left corner. Do i need to install Linux before or is Linux already installed on nvoc? Do i need to adjust my BIOS settings at all? any suggestions? Am i doing something wrong? Am i doing it right by mounting the file to a usb drive then trying to boot it from the BIOS? If you could help me out i would appreciate it. Thank you.
