I read at some places that i need dummy plugs to keep mining without a monitor, but in some other post they say i dont need the dummy plugs, do i need them?

don't mine with gpus

the dummy plugs were for an ancient version of app sdk or catalyst?

i just used 12.1 on my 5870s

Yeah I never used them and I was mining on Cat 12.10 beta.
