Hi,

Curiosity got the best of me and I simply want to try out BTC mining to see it in action.

I have a Desktop PC running Debian Wheezy with an ATI HD 5700 Series Video Card.  I understand that CPU mining is no longer supported by BFGminer, and that GPU-only mining runs at a loss.  Again, I only want to see it in action, that's all.

I have downloaded and installed BFGminer, setup an account on both Slush's pool and BTC Guild.
I have also installed Bitcoin-qt and gotten a receive address.

I can run bfgminer with my user/pwd for Slush's pool and BTC Guild.  It runs okay, but I do not see the numbers change on either website (estimated speed, etc.).
On the miner side of things, I see the expected message:
"Stratum from pool 0 requested work update" 1-2 times per minute.

I am attaching a screenshot of bfgminer running.

Can someone please tell me why the numbers on Slush's pool and BTC Guild are not updating.  Is the program running correctly, and simply having a single GPU is not cutting it?  Thanks.
