AMD Rx Vega - CryptonightV7 - mining rig

Sup guys,

Lately I am thinking of building a Rx Vega rig but something tells me to wait for around July-August for the Vega Nano to come out and prices to get lower. Right now I can get some Vega's around 640 USD$/piece.

What are your thoughts on this Vega project of mine? Wait or be impulsive and buy now

My personal advice.
You can do it now and upgrade your device after. You can build your rig today, and when you upgraded your rigs, you have experience on it. Do stepping upgrade using mining profit (except you have an unlimited budget, lol)

or (another options)
Keep your money and doing nothing. Else, use your money on investment such as buying some coins or whatever.

From my experience, there shouldn't really be any kind of extra ordinary difference b/w gens of graphics card as far as mining is concerned. You can check older cards and see for yourself, one major aspect is the power draw - which sometimes can get lower or higher (depending on specs), but I dont think it is much of an issue when considering the total performance h/s/w wise, also taking into consideration current price/difficutly etc..

If you are getting into mining game, make sure you are pretty sure and confident that it will give u the calculated ROI.

Whatever you do bear in mind most non reference Vega 56 will have Hynix memory which doesn't overclock like Samsung.  If you want to guarantee Samsung memory you'll either have to find reference Vega 56 (good luck) or spend more money on a Vega 64 model.

I had the rx 480 vs r9 nano when I was posting it. I can see that r9 nano (cryptonight) is around 800h/s. which is not near but almost near to rx 480. But, considering the price difference, I would go for the 480 and only consider nano if I am that restricted in space/cooling. Also must consider the big price difference.

Also, it is better to invest in mining before the rush happens.. then everything will go through the roof.
