Got an email from 'MtGox Team' - I'm not even signed up with MtGox

Anyone else get an email? Got one this morning at 12:45 AM UK time, even though I've never signed up with Mt Gox. I haven't opened it, but it starts:

Customer Announcement Dear MtGox Customers. Thank you for your patience...

Any idea on this? Thanks.

It's a phishing email. Ignore it. I've had similar emails since joining BitcoinTalk a few days ago.

So technically it's an email from Twitter and not MtGox - at a guess as this happens with any of my Twitter accounts regardless of whether they have an email address which is also tied to a MtGox email.

Nope, not that I can see, but the user I retweeted has lots of tweets about bitcoin. Still slightly paranoid about this lol.

Define large amount haha. No, I wouldn't say I have an especially large amount of cryptos, but I guess any amount of BTC is of worth to scammers, especially when it grows every day.

I don't use it. I don't even really use twitter, but I only logged on to retweet to get some free coins. I Have a Facebook but haven't logged in ages and not since I got involved with cryptos. I use a different email address for personal stuff and forums, so I don't know how they tied my personal account to my involvement with cryptos. It's perplexingly worrying.
