It is very possible that your laptop is mining so slowly that it doesn't even register. Laptops are very bad for mining. They generally have a very low hash rate, but maybe you can adjust some configuration settings so that you can at least see something happening.

Don't mine with your laptop, you'll fry the components and probably never even get enough to cover the transaction fee to cashout.  If you just wanna mine with something, you can get a Block Eruptor for not too much

If you have gpu atleast you can have a little decent mining these days.

Read cgminer instructions first and btcguild mining instructions and do the need before starting mining.

If you can't see and gh/s speed, then your machine is not capable of that.

Most integrated GPUs aren't even able to mine, but the point stands that you're going to fry your computer trying to make a few cents

That means you are mining less than 1 megabyte, perhaps this is an issue in the program or mis-calculation of the mining pool. of course it's possible that your mining is less than 1 megabyte if you aren't using an ASIC or a high ability video card.

You'll cook your laptop and the minuscule amount of coins you mine will be offset by a more expensive electrical bill.
