Yes, common sense is what is needed. But I'm saying that EvE can help people who have never had experience with virtual commodities and haven't developed that "common sense" can use EvE as a chance to get scammed but without the huge consequences.
Sometimes you need practice to develop a true understanding of how things work as not everyone is magically gifted with the same "common sense" abilities.
I did the trial for EvE, and really liked it, but can't justify spending a monthly fee to play a video game.
I didn't know about their in-game money system, though. That's interesting. They should use bitcoin!
Well, EvE does have someways where you can use the ingame currency to buy game time and, thus, play for free.
The thing about EvE, or any popular MMO for that matter, using BTC as the in-game currency are multiple. First, they'd be dealing with a real currency and be subjected to all kinds of new regulations and infrastructure to deal with it.
