International relationships influence economy in a large scale. For one, if you're not on good terms with a country then you can't do business with them, and they can't do the same to you. Therefore there are products that won't be in your country and theirs. That creates a vacuum in your economy. A healthy relationship breeds a healthy economy.

Not only that if the country your nation is having difficulties is a very powerful country like the United States then not only you will have problems with their government but with several other governments as well since the US government has a lot of influence all over the world, this makes international relationships critical especially for smaller countries.

I agree.So it's more preferable to have an international relations with other strong and progressive countries so that if your country is experiencing an economical calamity you can really count on to those countries who have strong relations with yours.It's always been a good feeling whom you have good countries to depend on when your own country is already in critical.
