Much thanks to ohiofarmer for the original thread here:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=352686.0

Someone suggested a poll, and I think it will give a much better visual representation.

Plus, voting remains anonymous, so more people can participate  Grin

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Hmm, the 20-24 spot seems to be winning at the moment.

if the other non-poll thread didnt keep getting bumped to the top, people would be voting in the polls instead.  LOL

wow, such a large portion are 20-30.. but those people should be 1-2 years older now. even still, if bitcoin were to become mainstream, that would be a huge redistribution of wealth.

Makes sense to me that this age group is most greatly represented.

Yea the poll isn't showing any surprises for me either.

It's money so the gap at belong 18 is to be expected, and its new technology which is usually picked up quickest by teenagers. (which on this forms a barrier due to it being money) Thus you see the highest group in 20-30 range.

Glad you did the poll bittburger!

this confirms my assumption that vast majority of Bitcoiners are GenY (21-35)

Though it was created / brainchild by GenX
