Strong correction I believe is an overrated term. Yes there would be correction which would likely drop the price beyond what we are having currently but a strong one would mean a crash in price which is way out of line at this time. Analysts would say things for them to cotinue to be in the news. Only if there is a way to punish people if there predictions fail to hempen after a specific period of time, it would have reduce all of this not so thoughtful predictions.

Seems like the recent drop in bitcoin's price was because of law enforcement going against the biggest Korean exchange Upbit.
More info can be found here:

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-05-11/cryptocurrency-exchange-upbit-raided-by-south-korean-authorities

This exchange was one of the biggest for altcoins trading and that's the reason most of the altcoins are down about 20 percents or more in the last week, people who was invested in bitcoin only didn't really feel the drop as bitcoin went down only about 10% which is not huge compared to altcoins.

Still we have positive news also back to this. I do not why we see the bitcoin price started falling for single bad news and why not we missed to see the bump whenever we see positive adoption.
Newbie investors really does not what is happening in the market and selling it with panicking.
To say exactly we lost around 750 USD and more mate.
I think the reason for such huge dump in the price was because the huge bump was unnatural. I don’t know the reason but it was not according to the market cap. People were happy when the price reached to $20k in just few months. But then corrections started and the price dropped to $6k again. That was the natural price. I think there is nothing to worry about the price.

Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies will collapse by 90% within the next 12 months, analysts predict, but those coins that survive this correction are expected to grow tremendously.

On 7 May, US financial regulators, the US Commission on Futures Trading (CFTC) and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), will hold a meeting at which they will discuss, whether Ethereum tokens should be classified as securities.

This is not true, 90% is a huge blow to cryptocurrency.
coins and tokens can go higher 90% or better.
the price will always depend on the demand of the people and how they will hold their belongings.

Even if they are the biggest organization in the world they can't control the value of bitcoin because all of the people who are using bitcoins are the stake holder and no one can say that in the future the value of it like that. Only time can tell to us what will happen in future.
I even wonder why sometimes we pay much attention to things like this. Market generally is volatile and there is absolutely nothing anyone can tell me about the future now that I will believe either in the bear or the bull perspective.

Yeah, I believe in the potential of bitcoin in the long run to give a sweet value based on real life adoption and usage, but assuming a strong correction like the OP said, or just assuming a huge price for the future, is just what has turned this market into a purely speculative market and that is not helping.

90%? more like 1000% FUD detected. This is another outrageous attempt to crash crypto and it felt like this is going on for a thousand times or more than that. Crypto will moon and it's going to be more epic this time.
The market of cryptocurrencies is a lot stronger than many people think, is not going to fall 90% just because a post and an article say it would, it is going to take a lot more than that to crash bitcoin and the rest of the market, however while I believe that the market of cryptocurrencies is going to grow once again I am not so sure we are going to see it soon.

I can feel you mate. LOL. I don't know where does this "hate" towards bitcoin comes from. Its like they don't want bitcoin to go to the next levels but pushing their predictions that bitcoin will go down. I just shake my head, not that they are correct, but the fact that they have zero clue as to what they are talking about. Strong correction already happen, as the price is below 5 digit marks but it doesn't mean that it will go down further as what the OP is predicting. The market goes on correction and followed by recovery, it cyclical and that's how it worked.

Huge corrections for huge faults. $20k was a huge fault and then huge correction. Now bitcoin is on the right track. There is no huge dump and bump. There are small corrections in the price but there is nothing serious about it. It is normal. The price will increase gradually with the passage of time and corrections will also be there with price without any panic.

I think the same, and because I read this article, but because bitcoin has been going up really high and recently the hype level( we can even see that from researching the amount of people  that searched for bitcoin/crypto at different points of times), I can predict that price keeping with the negative trend towards the correction area.

Personally,I am a long term holder so I don't really afraid from short-term price movements, I believe that bitcoin will be worth much more then it is now in the very-far future.

Cryptocurrency itself is a term for virtual currency that uses encryption to verify every remittance unit among users, as well as manage the release of new currency units. This virtual currency operates independently without central bank intervention.

Cryptocurrency is circulating with a very unique standard. If that strong correction of cryptocurrency market needs to be done for the betterment and improving it then I think we to survive just to come up with a good and more profitable investment with cryptocurrencies.

Every term is milked for its worth these days. Corrections are strong corrections. Rises are called massive, dips are called crashes. It's all accurate perhaps but only relative to conventional markets. These are actually very normal in BTC's volatile history, as much as normal can be applied as a term. No need to punish people, otherwise there's a need to reward correct predictions!

We are even already in a correction at the moment but which looks like a more complex correction as it is. However, anyone who is coming up with a stronger correction is just more like an alarmist to me as there is no reason whatsoever for anyone to be expecting such a huge correction as it is right now with no fundamentals tending towards that way and in fact, the sentiment with regulations is not even tallying with the response in the market presently that much.

There are so many things related to that of the crypto currencies which are not the way they should be and that most of the things still need to be dealt with care so that they may be then more beneficial for the ones who are investing their money into the crypto currencies or are related to it one way or the other. This will surely take lot of time and that this will not happen this soon.

This is just a FUD alert.

This is nothing new and has hidden agenda like those news last year same as Jamie Dimon's claim of bitcoin being a fraud.

It's obvious that banks are suffering with crypto's now so they are trying to pull it down by making these misleading articles.
It really looks like a fud.
If u dont know what is fud, check this topic https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3677351.msg36767085#msg36767085

Its just predictions and no one knows if this were going to happen or not and for me it seems unlikely. The market is way better now compared to the previous years, we may experience price declining but its only temporary.

Nevertheless, I dont mind the present situation of the market or for the next 12 months, im a long term hodler and will only sell my coins if they reach my target price.

And now you are talking about predictions too, comparing bitcoin prices with the past year always creates a dilemma, because every year there will always be new problems that cause bitcoin prices to decline. Bitcoin prices will continue, and speculation is just a fresh breeze that will provide cold when it's heat and it gives off heat when it's cold.

This is just a fake news. I urge everyone not to take notice of such news. No one in this world has the capacity to predict how the market will behave in next few days or months. I remember when BTC was 19000 in Dec 2017, there were strong voices that btc will cross one hundred thousand in 2018.

I would like to say another shit spam from your post history bro. Even here to make money but you will be sure about the post is really helpful to someone of not. That is the way we need to avoid the spamming bro.

If you want to check about the bitcoin price amount you will be able to find the many crypto analysis so there you can check it or if you want to confirm the news related information you could check the press section here.
