Some crazy individual just emailed me some threatening stuff, claiming I hacked his computer and stole his coins!!!

I tried responding to his thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=349072.0) but I just registered the other day and didn't even know I was locked into the Newbie area.  This really sucks because I have nothing to do with this hack and now there is a vigilante group e-stalking me and threatening to call their embassy, law enforcement, my relatives and the fucking dog catcher if they thought it would help!

If you didn't do anything, then why do you bother? Just ignore them.

It is probably just someone wanting to get some BTC out of you with threats. Just ignore them.

I registered a domain a few days back which had a similar name to this virus (shit luck huh?) that was masquerading as a legit coin.  Well, apparently this dude took the whois info from my site and is probably on google maps street view trying to figure out where to place an IED outside my house. (Ok maybe not, but I would be pissed if I lost $5 grand like he did.)

Just stay calm, ask him for the evidence and explain your position.
If the only evidence is the domain registration (and the domain has nothing to do with the virus) i think u don't have to worry, the guy seems pretty reasonable

This is the original thread if people are wondering: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=349072
Sorry to hear he was trying to threaten you. This is pretty bad on his part without even verifying information he got from some random source. I would imagine the real thief would be smarter than leaving his address on a whois domain. Just a thought ...
