The biggest problem with Bitcoin is volatility. Hands down, you can't argue that., and everyone knows it. Every new investor invests in Bitcoin with hopes that the price will rise, not to use it to buy things. Why would you spend something that could be worth 10x more the next day. Is there a way to add something to bitcoin to make it more stable, or do people not want it to be stable? Eventually either Bitcoin will change to become stable or a new currency will come along and take over. So has anyone come up with a way to stabilize a currency without a central authority? In the end I think Bitcoin will fall, and a new currency will take its place because there are too many flaws. Bitcoin is volatile, the name Bitcoin could be be much better, and it is not very user friendly at all. But it's paving the way for all other cryptocurrencies, and doing a great job at that.
Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Incorrect.
Many do not see volatility as a problem.

Every new investor invests in Bitcoin with hopes that the price will rise, not to use it to buy things.

Incorrect.
There are many people new to bitcoin who are using it to buy things.  It is a common error to assume that everyone else is just like oneself.

Why would you spend something that could be worth 10x more the next day.

Because you need some things to survive, and you desire other things.

Is there a way to add something to bitcoin to make it more stable,

Yes. Add more users and more businesses.  This will increase stability.

or do people not want it to be stable?

Some people would prefer that it not stabilize.

So has anyone come up with a way to stabilize a currency without a central authority?

Increase usage.

In the end I think Bitcoin will fall, and a new currency will take its place because there are too many flaws.

Really?  Well, I guess you're entitled to any opinion you'd like to have.

the name Bitcoin could be be much better

The names "dollar", "peso", and "yen" could be better too.

and it is not very user friendly at all.

It's still very new.  The internet wasn't very user friendly 5 years after it was created either.  Given some time, innovators and entrepreneurs will add many features to increase its uasability.
