Build quark - ugh, not work, waste life

OK I downloaded the zip source from github. Followed the readmes, tried qmake, tried qtcreator - both give errors.

Does this thing actually work ?

I get a load of this using qmake ::

Project MESSAGE: Building with UPNP support
sh: 1: /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/qt5/bin/lrelease: not found
RCC: Error in 'src/qt/bitcoin.qrc': Cannot find file 'locale/bitcoin_af_ZA.qm'

....etc etc

and I get

quark-master/src/qt/bitcoin.cpp:5: error: QApplication: No such file or directory

with qtcreator

Nice person tell me what I do wrong ?
