A normal CN algo coin with too many ASIC miners out there? This does not sound good.

ASIC for Cryptonight has not been released yet. Why did you worry too much?
When it released, forms with adjustments will solve the problem because GPU rigs are more flexible than ASICs.

Elspero project is surely taking the anonymity to the next level.
Other than the owner of the wallet will be able to see what inside the wallet. So it will guarantee the safety of the content in the wallet itself.

Why not just develop the coin on one of the new algos and then not have to worry about forking later on

The problem with the synchronization with the network was associated with the separation of the network into two parts. In the original blockchain, checkpoint 3000 was added. I ask everyone to use the new version https://github.com/progof/elspero
