Setting up rig in a wine cellar - good idea?

I've got a wine cellar with constant 52°F temp.  There's shelves that I think would be perfect to mount the rig.  They are 17" wide and 9" deep.  I assume a case from the following guide could be edited to fit that space?

Have other people done this, is there any reason it would be a bad idea?

It might need to be a bit cooler to stay safe, try using some fans.
