I met a guy that was doing the same thing about 6 months ago. I think he went with disrupting taxes as his thesis if my memory serves me correctly.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

İ have a post which can maybe attract your attention.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1753788.msg17515999#msg17515999
You can also find original article at
http://www.economist.com/sites/default/files/the_future_of_cryptocurrency.pdf
This is an article about prediction modeling (with the regression analysis) of an investment income for 5 years with bitcoin and ethereum. You can find the percentile distribution between bitcoin and ethereum and also, of course, expected income after 5 years.
I hope it will give you an idea.

It takes sometime for me to really understand what is bitcoin. It will be an advantage to someone if really interested to know then its better just have a research from it first. It was introduced to me and maybe with just some sort of initiative i give time to take a reasearch. As you fully understand how the system of bitcoin works you eventually be open to a new innovation of man that will give comfort by means of payment ,investing and making transactions. It creates a fast services that can offer to every individual who use it.

I agree, i saw some good discussion with regards to what is bitcoin. In youtube tho the link was introduced here on the other topic. I just have to quote this good part "bitcoin is more likely an experience than explained" which is right

Hi everyone,

this is a thread where we can collect topics to research on and (maybe) discuss their relevance.

I for example am studying Computer Science and am going to write my bachelor thesis in the near future. I am considering making it Bitcoin-related, but am lacking ideas. Maybe there are others.

For example, there was a paper published about anonymity in Bitcoin several days ago: http://anonymity-in-bitcoin.blogspot.com/2011/07/bitcoin-is-not-anonymous.html

Any ideas are welcome.

Good for you to have decided to go that route of knowledge I am sure by the time you are and if you are serious with it, you would have been deeply rooted in the field and even more versatile than the so called "developers" however, the problem will be your supervisor because over here, your project topic is largely dependent on the area of interest of the supervisor and without getting his nod, I doubt if one is going anywhere. Either way you can give it a try and make your supervisor fall in line...

Maybe you can create a thesis about how bitcoin can be integrated into the physical world. Like what methods can you do to make it possible. Check out what mycelium is offering and review how they propose to do it. This would be beneficial to the bitcoin world and as well as the real world. Recommend some way bitcoins can be adopted.

There are many articles relating to computer science which we can find in online but when it related to bitcoin is simply superb, most of the people are deeply attracting to computer technology where it is giving money bu sitting in front of the computer. Even bitcoin is related to computer technology where mined with CPU. Better it should be more elaborate so that many people will start learning thing from your blog.

Khan Academy is a reputable site, but to do a deeper study, it will certainly be necessary to understand the subject in more depth.

A few months ago I saw a thread here at bitcointalk with some references: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1595704.0

Maybe you can create a thesis about how bitcoin can be integrated into the physical world.
maybe you should give an idea. If it get more physical than being on internet as blockchain then the basic objective of bitcoin will be altered.

A bitcoin related thesis would be really cool. Let us know how it goes when it's all done or don't forget to message me at least, I'm studying comp sci. as well.

Bitcoin coin technology completely belongs to computer related technology. It's better you can explain are  provide detailed information how both bitcoin and computer science is related. Bitcoin has lot of popularity is due to the currency that is based on related computer currency really great to explain.
