the tittle says it all folks, the transfer fees are too significant for me personally so I always look for the best option that will keep my loss* minimal, any thoughts ppl?

* the best I can do at the moment is  2-3% loss between bids/asks and the exchange fees.

Hello there,

I user exchanges like Biance and Kucoin and if you keep either BNB or KCS on the respective exchanges either you get a discount on the trading fees or a bonus for keeping the tokens, respectively. So I take advantage of these benefits. I sometimes use NEO to transfer the US dollar value from either one of those exchanges to a cold storage wallet ( where I keep it as NEO not as BTC), because for NEO they don't charge a transaction fee. I think if you just transfer BTC you will have to pay a transaction fee, no matter what.

Litecoin is quite identical to Bitcoin but has lower transaction cost and faster confirmations. It's also pretty easy to get your hands on, compared to other altcoins.

I usually use Litecoin or Dogecoin, since they have very low fees and are listed on most exchanges. I find it quite frustrating that exchanges have raised fees when Bitcoin and Ethereum networks suffered from congestions, but then didn't lower, or lowered them not enough now that the networks have cheap fees again. A lot of exchanges have like 0.001 BTC fee, while the network fees are 5-10 satoshi per byte.

It has less traffic on it's network compared to Bitcoin, so it should do the job. Besides the block times being quartered, which should make it four times quicker.

I was using LTC when BTC was quite expensive and slow, but right now I don't even bother. It's so cheap to send Bitcoin ant this is my main currency that I don't even waste my time on going back and forth with LTC. Of course, if you are moving a few dollars it might be worth it to switch to cheaper currencies.

Transfer fees on binance are a bit too high, so I pretty much go ahead and convert my bitcoin to ETH on coinbase then send it over to Binance. At first I did this due to the fact that the TX fees on bitcoin were too high and the transaction were going to take too long to confirm (something I couldn't risk in a market that moves in seconds to get a good deal on crashes)

I like using ETH, and would recommend it to anyone who is trying to move crypto fast and cheaply. PLus the binance withdrawal fee is cheaper with other cryptos, eth is much lower then bitcoin right now.

I normally convert BTC to ETH if the transaction fees is high at that point of time. Sometimes, I find withdrawal fees at some exchanges to be the same if I withdraw BTC and ETH. In this case, I will just use BTC.

I use litecoin, dogecoin, bitcoin cash, digibyte and waves. Waves and digibyte are very fast and cheap but the coins I choose change according to exchanges I use. Transferring btc with this fee is impossible  Smiley

Of course, why not. It is easy to exchange and cost less for ALT. by ALT we can easily exchange bitcoin and ethereum. many exchanges have 0.001 BTC fees. so I think that by ALT do  Bitcoin, Etherium and other currency exchanges are logical and fruitful.

Litecoin is a good choice. There may be some variation in the BTC-LTC exchange rate, but in the short duration in which you transfer your coins, it shouldn't be too much.
That said, the transfer fees shouldn't bother you these days. The exchange is probably fleecing you.

I think litecoin is the best choice for everyone. A lot of people use it, and it is similar, or almost the same as Bitcoin with lower price.

I'd have to say Litecoin.  It's accepted at every (I think) exchange that Bitcoin is at so it's an easy choice for me.  On a side note, if I am looking at a coin I check the alt pairs too.  I've picked up some bargains in the past by NOT using BTC as the coin but LTC to buy with.
