Hello and welcome to BitcoinTalk!

If you're completely new to Bitcoin and Digital Currency this forum is a good place to start. You'll find some very helpful topics and once a member the search function (top right) can be a great tool!
I've also put together a basic website with helpful links that I use and trust: Digital Dosh

I'll be updating the website from time to time, Hope you find it helpful Smiley

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.
