I rebooted my phone and forgot to take measures for the Authenticator.

I had it set for kraken etc.

What do I do?

If you don't have any backup keys, I'm sure you can always contact their support and tell them your situation. I have done this on my Binance account and they've asked me to verify my identity before they turned off my 2fa. Took only a few hours in my case and I was already able to access my account again.

Next time make sure to save the backup key when using an Authenticator. I also prefer using Authy than google auth because for me, it's easier to back up.

I understand the pain. I found this article on the web... hope it will help.

Step 1: First you'll want to install and sign in to the app on your new device.

Step 2: Next, head to Google's two-step verification Web page using a browser on your computer. You may need to log in to your Google account to access the security settings.
.
.
.
.
Keep reading on the website.

I do hope it works for you.

Let me know if it helps...

If you don't have any backup keys, I'm sure you can always contact their support and tell them your situation.
If it's with one and two websites then it's easier to contact and resolve, I really hope he did not use it for so many websites.

Updated after TryNinja's post.

Be happy be at peace. Looking forward to BTC at $1M

This is only teaching how to change the 2FA of your Google Account to a new device. It has nothing to do with other websites (specifically Kraken). 2FA codes from Google Authenticator aren't stored anywhere, so you can't "recover" them.

OP can't restore his codes. He will need to contact every website support and ask for help. From the same article above:

[...] You'll need to visit each site individually and scan the QR code with your new device.

That's why I use andOTP (lets me backup my encrypted codes to the cloud).

I contacted both Kraken and Bittrex. See how long it's going to take them to give me a way to regain access.

Thanks for the feedback fellow travellers. Smiley
