Hi. Total newb to _____coin, after reading a few posts on here, I'm of the opinion that...

1) It's not worth it mine _____coin for the average computer user, as it takes an immense amount of hardware, hard-wiring programming skills and that the return barely pays off the hardware and electricity costs

2) That at this late in the game, it's better for non-techie newcomers to buy or mine things like Litecoin and Altcoin and to exchange them for Bitcoin (which is why I left the blank space in "______coin")

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it takes a lot of identity verification just to buy your first _____coin, but I'm really wary of handing my personal info online to "unofficial" websites or doing wire transfers. I've had my identity stolen before; some a-hole in Romania once maxed out my debit card and caused me over $800 in overdraft fees, and it took well over a month to prove to my bank that the purchases were fraudulent and to recover my funds.

I'm just wondering, would it be possible to just buy a $10, $25 or $50 prepaid debit card (something that can only be used once and can't be overdrafted once it's maxed out) to buy some coin? Will there be any arduous identity verification procedures if I use that? And if so, what service would be best to try that in?
