It is unlikely that the crypto market will continue its growth in 2018 at such high rates as we saw a year ago. Investors are very frightened by the recent long-term depreciation of all the crypto-currencies and now it takes a long time to forget about this and start investing more money in the crypto market. In my opinion, reaching the Ethereum price of the level of 15,000 dollars is not possible this year.

I'm sure ETH price will going strong this year.
But not that strong.
If ETH price USD 15k, ETH rank on coinmarketcap will beat bitcoin place by 10 times or more, which is impossible since bitcoin is mother of all coins and its position is almost never unbeatable.
But, if bitcoin price is also 10 times by now, it's possible ETH price will be that high

You are not surprised but I am very surprised, ETH can never reach that price. Although ETH is popular in the market, but now there are too many altcoin in the market. Investors can not focus on ETH, they also hold many other altcoin. So the number of investors buying ETH will decrease and ETH price can not rise so high.

15000 USD is just too much for ethereum . etheteum has enough potential to hit 15K USD but not this year mate. It will take more time.  
If ETH hit 15K USD then Bitcoin needs to reach almost 100k USD! is this possible for this year? My answer is no. My prediction for ethereum in 2018 is 2K USD.

If ETH is 15k then Bitcoin will be near 150k. Total market cap would be something about $6 bln in such case. I wouldn't be such optimistic. I'd say that total cap will be near 1 bln and ETH price will be around $2k. This is something realistic.

Judging by the fact that Mt. Gox from Tokyo again today threw in the market 8200 bitcoins, and while he dropped the rate bitcoin, neither bitcoin nor ethereum will not yet significantly increase in price. As soon as bitcoin is recovering in price, new batches of bitcoins will be thrown into the market and it will fall until about 200,000 of its bitcoins are sold. Therefore, the price of $ 15,000 ethereum in any case in the near future we will not see.

I don't think Ethereum will gain 15 k, more possible 5-10 k not more. Ethereum blockchain is too young to hit that price, bitcoin older and that's why the price is so big.
