Hi All,

Ive just recieved my Butterfly labs 30GH/s miner and hooked it all up today. This is my first bitcoin miner (used to mine LTC with GPU on cgminer).

Im running the latest GIT version of cgminer on Ubuntu 13.10 Server. Ive compiled it with the --enable-bflsc configure flag.

However my problem is when i run cgminer i see the following error:

 cgminer version 3.8.4 - Started: [2013-12-04 07:57:41]

my worker status on btcguild only reports 20GH/s whereas cgminer average is 26GH/s

My worker on btcguild has been set at 2 and 16 difficulty and makes no difference.

Any ideas on what i can do, im losing about 7-10 GH/s with my current configuration

Thanks

Maybe overheating? What's ambient temp and is the area around the miner crowded.

Its about 20c. The miner reports its running at 56c. It runs in a cold concrete garage. I dont believe overheating is the cause.

The miner and it's fans are in an open space to allow max airflow.

Just looked at the numbers and I now see that your hash rate in cgminer seems correct as it has 30 ghs +/- 10% variance. Pool hash rate should be taken with a grain of salt, a few of my miners are regularly 20% off of the miner reported hash rate.

Would this have anything to do with my error I'm getting regarding shares?

That would just hide the error....

Wouldn't it make sense to figure out why I'm getting them?

It's not an error, it's a feature. It's just telling you that those shares didn't make the cut.

The shares under target is in conjunction with the pool diff, yours being 64, if you can adjust I'd put it to 32.

I Adjusted the difficulty last night - been running for 15 hrs with no change to the pool hashrate - cgminer still reports 27(ish) and 22(ish) on the btcguild dashboard. Im still seeing the errors in verbose on cgminer.

Hmm... Not a clue, that was my ten cents on ASIC's. PS. Those aren't errors btw.  Roll Eyes
