What is the mobile miner?

Blockchain miners are still vitally important to Electroneum, but full mining is too complex for the average user. The mobile miner is a separate algorithm that rewards users with ETN cryptocurrency at no cost.

Apple iPhone Launch

We’ve reduced the number app call backs to our servers to just once per hour to comply with Apple’s limits, and this means if you were one of our beta miners you won’t see the pending balance update as often as it did during beta. Leave it running – and you’re mining time will be credited! We have the iPhone iOS version written and fully functional but it has not been approved by Apple yet. The more Android users we can get, the more we can show Apple that there is demand for this app.

Earning a few dollars a month to keep my phone hot, battery low and shorten the life of my smartphone just doesn't sound like a worthwhile proposition to me. Maybe there are people with many smartphones that are currently not in use that would benefit from this sort of thing. Now that I think of it, I may have some old iPhones that I'll give this a test on. They do not have data, but they have access to Wi-Fi and I imagine that is acceptable. If I can earn a few dollars per month, per phone then we're looking at a couple extra hundred dollars a month. That would be quite impressive from a stack of cracked-screen iPhones.

I know that this is only in the Google Playstore, but I'm wondering if it would be possible to Jailbreak these bad-boys and throw an Android/Linux OS on them specifically for this purpose. Has there been anybody that has attempted to make iOS or other devices work for Mobile mining? Alternatively, am I able to manually get the Beta version of the iOS code before it gets approved for the App store?

I'm very interested in giving this a test on over a dozen smartphones, and I have access to hundreds if need be that are basically just cracked screen "garbage" phones. They would process information and mine just fine though, as far as I know. Would be giving my feedback from my experiences.

Was this app developed by yourself or someone you are affiliated with? You speak from the point of view of a developer, so it makes me wonder if you are just relaying information or presenting your own project.
