Hello bitcointalk members!

I am announcing a new Contest today. My website, bitsplay.ga doesn't look very good nor do I have a logo. I saw many people here in the bitcoin community are really good at design and stuff.

Bitsplay Announcement Thread || Bitsplay Reward Thread

So, the prizes are as follows:
[
Logo Design: $300

Website Design (concept): $400
OR
Website Design (with HTML CSS JS): $500
]

OR

[
Logo + Website (with HTML CSS JS): $1000 (because it will be much more matching)
OR
Logo + Website (concept): $850 (because it will be much more matching)
]

All will be paid in BTC. Make sure to include your BTC address with the images!

PS: With HTML CSS JS entries must be PM'd to me. Smiley

Contest End Date/time: 01 January 2014 00:00 GMT+00  (http://itsalmo.st/#bitsplaydesigncontestenddate)

Happy Designing! Cheesy

I'd be happy to enter in the contest if you could use a known escrow for your prizes. It's just because of your level of trust in the forum, nothing personal.

I agree with this.

Also, I am wondering why the HTML+CSS +Logo is cheaper than the Concept+Logo? Creating a concept and then implementing it in HTML/CSS is much more work.

Anyway, I am interested in this and might give it a go.

I think it would be more appreciated if your prices were in bitcoins rather than dollars. After all, you are paying in bitcoins.

I think that in this precise moment, it's easier and safer to talk in dollars for this type of things, because of the changing price of the bitcoin. If it goes up or down you will get your U$D anyways.

That sounded all right until you got to, "you will get your U$D anyways." This is bitcointalk, not fiattalk.

EDIT: Not to sound rude. I am trying to say that most people in here are here for Bitcoin, not to get USD.

The signature campaign posters adding useless redundant fluff to their posts to reach their minimum word count are lowering my IQ.

I mean, you will get the amount equal on USD in bitcoin. I know it's bitcointalk but most of the users still need to use FIAT to get bitcoins or make them work with their business.

Well, yeah, I guess you are right in that. Everyone needs to start making a change. But enough of that - too off-topic.

Okay.

About the trust, that guy added negative trust just because website doesn't list all the bets.

Totally my fault. I accidentally interchanged it. Fixed now. Smiley

But, bitcoin is fluctuating too much. Sad

I can do that for free if you give the btc you scammed from me.

It's based on your trust score and my personal experience. Yes, it's personal.

All right. I'm going for the extended designing rewards. I've been working on the first concept of a site layout. When it's finished I'm also going to implement it in HTML/CSS and create a nice template for you.

Nice, I like it, again. I'll like a little more responsive design, tough.

Great work! Smiley

Just some friendly advice guys, place a watermark on your designs. That way it can't get stolen Wink

I have no problem with that, not at all. Smiley

Thanks. You are right, responsive design is very important nowadays. But don't worry: The logo and the menu will scale depending on the screen size, to enable smaller screens. The two bars on the side will only be fully visible on larger widescreens and will fade out to a nice even background color on even wider screens.

What I also want to try out is how it's going to look if the menu is fixed (follows the browser window around when scrolling). But again, this is a very early version, so much of it might still change.

You're right. However, in this case I have the original .svg file on my own computer. Someone could steal this image but they would not be able to scale it up and down. Also, in the case of someone on Bitcointalk.org stealing it, that will reflect badly on their trust.
I don't deem this design important or unique enough to watermark. Watermarks also have drawbacks, since they make an artwork harder to see properly.
In any case, thanks for your concern Wink

Hey there

I'm going for the: Logo + Website (with HTML CSS JS),

I've opted for a flat design, and made the website extremely responsive. This is the link for the live preview : http://bitsplay.pancakeapps.com/
