So far today, multibit cannot load wallets.  It keeps trying to load an earlier blockchain.  With each attempt it tries an earlier blockchain.  These wallets were not created until August 2013 or so. This last time, it seems to show the correct balance on one wallet.  The other shows as 'waiting...'.
Any ideas?

Here is the latest message:

"Unable to load blockchain "C:\Users\Forrest\AppData\Roaming\MultiBit\multibit.spvchain". The error was "org.jboss.netty.channel.ChannelException Failed to create a selector.".
Opening wallet "C:\Users\Forrest\AppData\Roaming\MultiBit\multibit.wallet"...
... done.
Opening wallet "C:\Users\Forrest\AppData\Roaming\MultiBit\BeachTree.wallet"...
... done.
Starting blockchain replay from network...
Replaying blockchain from date "Feb 17, 2013"
Stopping Bitcoin network connection... "

Can it just take a very long time to synch?  It hasn't in the past.

Didn't help me. I a having this issue with .15 and .16. I'd really like to not lose my money. Cant I install multibit on another PC and drag my encrypted wallet over there?

Let me know if I am doing something right. Smiley

Nevermind. Solved.

Even though my firewall is set to "allow" multibit, it was blocking it. Found out by disabling it completely.
