I have a few hours to kill and was wondering if there is anyway I can mine some LTC or BTC using only one of the computer's in my school's computer lab. Is this even possible?

It would not be worth it. At the least, you would need a GPU to mine Litecoin. Bitcoin is totally out of the question.
