Has anyone ever had a problem selling digital currencies on ebay?

I opened a new ebay account yesterday just for selling crypto coins, I linked it to a verified paypal account and started selling LTC, PPC & QRK.

About 5 mins ago I get this message from ebay

"Dear digitalcoinz,

Your account has been suspended because recent account activity has raised serious concerns. We've taken this precaution to protect our members and the eBay community.

Due to the suspension, you won't be able to use your eBay account in any way. This includes using another existing account or registering a new account.

Any outstanding selling fees will be due immediately, and any amounts that you haven't previously disputed will be charged to the billing method currently on file.

We appreciate your understanding.

Regards,

eBay

I wonder if this has anything to do with selling the coins or maybe for listing too many items within 24h (6 items)

Has anyone here experienced anything similar?

Do not trade crypto coins thru PayPal (eBay) as they can be charged back.

Yes I know it was risky but I was selling in small amounts. I Hoped by only selling to people with good feedback scores I would get a lot more honest people. And with the profit you can make over there as opposed to btc-e the odd claimback wouldn't make a huge difference.

I'm still not convinced any of the auctions for huge prices are being bought by legitimate buyers. I'm not surprised when I see a sale for 10-25% premium, but when its 100%+ higher than any market I just don't see how it can be legitimate regardless of the sellers feedback.

Throw in having to deal with paypal not wanting you doing it anyway and It can't be worth the hassle

Why are they still letting sellers list them continually if it's against their T&Cs? Ebay and paypal are such a bunch of plebs. If they had any fucking clue they would set up their own marketplace/escrow system for selling cryptos.

Yeah, paypal thinks cryptocurrency is a threat to it's way of business, so it tries to discourage/discredit them.

Of course, they have reason to be think this...  Grin

Paypal hates de-centralized currencies.  Do you think they would allow you to sell them publicly on ebay?
Don't sell mining hardware either, if yo get caught, you'll regret it.  Plus, you lose 10% + starting fees, why not just sell some here?

They can embrace it and make money; or shun it and lose out. It's obvious peeps want to buy coins with PP, so why not let them? Cryptos are gonna destroy paypal anyway.

thanks to paypal some guy in china is now wearing 7 pair of vintage MIB deadstock '70 adidas shoes for free after he told paypal he never got them shoes.. so paypal charged back..
back then it said click here to solve the issue "dead link" no phone number to contact and they blocked my account. all linked to ebay, where still customers were waiting for items, i could not check if they paid or not so they all gave me negative feedback.. my feedback was 100% and sold about 700 items, thank you paypal and ebay for ruining my business i sure hope BTC will put a mark on yours.  Undecided  this all happend 8 years ago btw..

This seems kind of strange - I just searched ebay for bitcoin and there are several different ads selling bitcoins.  Some of the ads are new but some of them have previous sales.

no. there is a trick on all this. you must put 000.02 btc, not 1 2 3 4 btc. it\s a strategy to avoid ebay suspension

Bitcoin listings on eBay need to be carefully worded and no website links. Good luck with that...
