Hey guys my aacutal desktop im thinking about upgrading my graphics card to probably a R9 280x, or 290x

my computer is pretty low on resources ill get a screenshot I took half the ram out because of ram problem :/ http://gyazo.com/e888fdadd3e5ec679b083a7407a786bb

if you need any more info let me know, I will be wanting to mine litecoin with these cards, Litecoin are scrypt coins correct? which require ram dont they? so im probably better off just upgrading everything i only have like a 500w power supply the cards like 300W let me know thanks.

I dont know what to do, I either go full out setting up a proper, Rig, Or could i just buy a new GPU, and put it in my computer, Im thinking about getting 4 R9 280x Vapour x, and new ram/cpu/ps/mb

LTC rig to mine bitcoins?  you're crazy.  (hint: this is a BTC subforum)

Good luck finding parts, none available.  No mobos, no graphics cards.

your 500w supply, unless it's a quality silver/gold/plat 80 Plus, will not support a single r9 280x, which draws ~300w.  Your 500w, assuming it can run full load at 12v (most cheap supplies do not), and assuming it's 90% efficient... will only output 450w.  R9 280x takes 300, your cpu likely to take 55w+, leaving only 100 for overhead, which is probably not enough.
