Are you trying to install it or help improve it? Which OS are you on?

Windows 7. The wallets install just fine i just worry im doin something wrong because i can never mine with pools on the ones with that option. Always tells me minerd is missing and when i copy it into the file it never connects so i figured i needed the source code.

Edit: i have no coding experience. Im a super noob

Don't mine with your wallet.  Mine with cgminer.  What are you trying to mine with?  Your graphics card, your CPU, a miner you bought?

BFGminer is the only thing that I know of that will do CPU mining with a pool.  But, you're not going to make anything with CPU mining bitcoin.  (literally nothing)  -- you could try primecoin maybe?

Is there a tutorial on how to setup a CPU miner with a pool for feather coin or something that is pretty new?

EDIT: I have a Mac and Ubuntu? How would I setup for both?
