Ok so I'm new to mining and I recently tried mining litecoins just as an experiment I guess. I'm pretty sure I have everything right according to this tutorial

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=176611.0 The only problem is at step 7 I go to run the minerd file I downloaded and it just says permission denied. Anyone have any ideas on what I'm doing wrong? It's probably something stupid but I'm new to mining and any sort of programming in general.
Also, I would've just posted on that thread but since I just created my account I had to start my own.
