You should read the newbie guide in this board. You need at least a relevant post and wait 4 hours in order to be able to post on other sections.

Welcome to both of you! Newbie guide is a great place to start, and indeed a relevant post + 4 hours will unlock the other sections.

Yeah newbie jail sucks but at least it keeps out the riff raff. I have now read the guide yay me haha. Anyway I hope to get some sort of mining rig going with all my spare bits of computer stuff even considering some ASIC's but have no budget yet for that!

You can do plenty of readying in your newbie time and work out where you want to be. Mining, Trading, Economics - find out your focus.

Many of us have been through it and the opportunity cost of just giving up is too great.
