Ok, this is starting to grind my gears.

Every time I install this stupid InfiniteCoin client, I am NEVER on the right block chain.

It appears there are several different clients and several blockchains.

The problem is, who is on the right one?

How many people are using 1.8.5? Because that to me is not a legit version.

I am using 1.8.0 from the GitHub.

This is just getting stupid and people really need to ignore this ignorant coin.

I would like to offer p2pool for it but it becomes a pain in the butt when everyone is mining and their wallet has a different blockchain.

WHAT DO I DO?

There was never any question which chain was right. All you had to do was check your block count and compare to the block explorer. Some people like coinchoose did not update the client and were seeding bad nodes, and hence flooded the network with users who could not sync to good nodes. 1.8.5 is the official update on Github and fixed these problems. This is a new dev who is not repeating the mistakes of the former. Not really sure what you want, but if you don't update the client then I am not sure where you have room to complain.

I didn't realize the new person updated the GitHub yesterday.

I installed IFC a couple days ago when it wasn't updated.

Then some random person posts a new client with no source, and I don't do that.

So there is the issue.

I am updating to 1.8.5 from GitHub now.

Well, I updated the client and now P2Pool won't connect to the P2P port of the client.

Here is a getinfo:

    "version" : 1080500,
    "protocolversion" : 69001,
    "walletversion" : 60000,
    "balance" : 0.00000000,
    "blocks" : 465529,
    "connections" : 8,
    "proxy" : "",
    "difficulty" : 0.67566732,
    "testnet" : false,
    "keypoololdest" : 1386006463,
    "keypoolsize" : 101,
    "paytxfee" : 0.00000000,
    "mininput" : 0.00010000,
    "errors" : ""

This what I get with P2Pool:

2013-12-05 14:27:08.064123 Testing bitcoind RPC connection to 'http://127.0.0.1:20772/' with username 'giggity'...
2013-12-05 14:27:08.086477     ...success!
2013-12-05 14:27:08.086569     Current block hash: 1502af2d20606976e82e5070b87cbd36bf3680913f1461391cbe4703a031c626
2013-12-05 14:27:08.086621     Current block height: 465532
2013-12-05 14:27:08.086661
2013-12-05 14:27:08.086747 Testing bitcoind P2P connection to '127.0.0.1:20770'...

And that's where it sits.
