Hello Guys,

I have experimented a lot with my first 6990 and I now got a tutorial for the 6990 owners.

Driver:
13.5 Beta 2
AMD SDK

Uninstall current drive with Driver Sweeper (reboot option)
Install 13.5B2 WITHOUT CCC.
Install MSI Afterburner

Undervolt in MSI Afterburner to 1110

Clock settings we will use (don't change this in MSI, cgminer will adjust it)
Core speed: 940
Mem speed:1370

cgminer bat:
Code:
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT=100
cgminer --scrypt --thread-concurrency 8192 -o stratum+tcp://xxxxxx:3334 -u xxxxxxx -p xxxxx --gpu-engine 940,940 --gpu-memclock 1370,1370 -g 1 -w 256 -I 18

Result:
1K Khash
1.5% reject

I will add screenshots and links to this tutorial this evening.

Donations welcome.

Hey,

Did you ever continue this guide?

I was trying to undervolt my ASUS HD Radeon 6990 to the 1110, it shows as 1110 in MSI AfterBurner but doesn't change in cgminer.

I get 950-975Kh/s with 0.54% RJ's using these settings:

Code:
@echo off
Del *.bin
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
cgminer -o <serverIP:port> -O <user:pass> --thread-concurrency 9824 -w 256 --config cgminer.conf

And the important values from the config file is:
Code:
"intensity" : "18",
"gpu-engine" : "871",
"gpu-memclock" : "1400",
"gpu-powertune" : "0-20",
"lookup-gap" : "0",
"auto-fan" : true,
"auto-gpu" : true,

feedback would be great, would love to hit 1k with this beast.

EDIT: forgot to mention that the OC-switch on the card are switched to the normal 1.120v

I'm currently using a 1300w for the 6990 and a 5770, but I think they could run with half as much.

The 6990 can draw 375 W on full load. Not sure if it applies to the normal mode(1.120v) or the "Uber Mode"(1.175v) though.
