hello,
Just wondering, can you really get free bitcoins? I can understand how that was possible even 6 months ago but who would give away bitcoins today?
cheers

There are tons of faucet sites that giving some tiny amount of bitcoin. But, IMHO, it just don't worth the time to collect them.

There are also sites "giving" away free bitcoins if you watch videos, etc. I'd rather just mine them.

I should have enough posts and enough hours but I'm still a newby.
Perhaps it's because I've not posted in the newby forums but in the Dutch ones?
That's strange that you're still a newbie! You have more activity than I do! Hmmmm, how many hours you have logged at the top of your screen? Mine was under 3 hours before I became a Jr. Member. Yeah it was weird, I've moved on to junior status. However at that time I already had >10h logged. So was confused on what was going on.. the forum seems to update a bit slowly...

The login time does not matter at all. To get jr member, you need to make a post and then wait 4 hours (no need to login) https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=177133.0

i'm newly signed up too. I've been reading and researching for awhile though. I didn't know about the post count requirement for newbies until I read this thread.

It's been over 4 hours since I signed up but I still can't post elsewhere on the forum?
Uhm reading the susbriction notes, I saw you have just top post once but you have to wait 4 hours. But if you read it carefully it's wrote your post has to be several sentences, not just hi i am here. Probabbly they double check the new entries being sure thay are not simply copy pasting a message but they are really taking part to the agrument. I am 1 hours and 4 minutes now so fingers crosse I guess for tonight I will be able to send pm. If i got it good with 10 posts you have right to write ((guess starting a discussion))

I must say that these restriction are way too much restricted and waiting is the worse thing can happen to me.

Do I need to post 1 reply (or new thread) in Newbies section and wait or can I wait first and post later? Does it have to be in order? This is my 2nd post. By reading the posts on the first few pages, do I need to post just 1 or it has to be 5 posts? (So I can post to other sections)
Thanks!
