Looks to me like there's a rally going on and a dark wall at 8.92 is being gobbled up.

It seems to me like a rally is overdue, but everyone is afraid of pirate's dump, aka "weekend dip" in order to keep prices low before his Monday, 30th dividend pay day.

This is not some pseudoeconomic post-modern Libertarian cult, it's an un-led, crowd-sourced mega startup organized around mutual self-interest where problems, whether of the theoretical or purely practical variety, are treated as temporary and, ultimately, solvable. Censorship of e-gold was easy. Censorship of Bitcoin will be… entertaining.

I think the rally will continue. I actually thought it was time for a bigger correction but no, not even close. It has been very bullish even during the weekend, price dropped only like a tenth of a dollar. Up we go.

I'm wondering whether we're going to see the inverse of what used to happen in the past, people buying after a major hack, instead of selling. After all, people who lost bitcoin due to hacks will probably want to have them back.. Perhaps traders are starting to exploit this kind of info.

Yep... they totally sent money to the exchanges that quick . The charts have been very bullish lately. I doubt this move is related to what happened at BTC-E.

this move would've happened with or without BTC-E.
i'd say the hackers stole the BTC-E Bitcoin to hold and sell when they hit $1000.
