(Mods - whitelist me & move to Services if you'd be so kind?)

I've scaled down the ambition a little since I started getting into building my rainbow tables. It became very obvious very quickly that the amount of space required to store 20-character passwords with 128-character salts is presently more than the entire world's got at their disposal.

I've also decided against trying to sell the table generator. Rather, I'm going to offer a lookup service. Having culled about a petabyte of space from free online storage and other places, I've got a decent table happening and an index to speed it up.

Anyway. Here's the deal. I'll do them free for a day or two so y'all know I'm legit. It'll also be a good field test.

After that, each password will cost USD$2 worth of BTC, at the weighted Mt Gox price. Large amounts will be considerably cheaper.

If you have a hashed PW you would like cracked, PM it to me (or just post it, if you don't want a private reply). Don't go hashing a fifty-page book and sending it to me.... please?

EDIT: Almost forgot the most important part. The tables are MD5 only.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

What is the maximum password length and what characters can be included? Maybe you should put up a website for your service (if it is legal...)
