Hi There,

I would like to buy around 150 LTC, and not sure if its better to buy some mining rig and mine for the same amount, or just buy them?

How long will it take to mine LTC and what hardware to buy to mine at least 2-3 LTC a day?

Electricity in Australia is very expensive...

If anything was profitable you would require a set of 7970s along with a new PSU, motherboard and more...

It might not be worthwhile mining with a gpu considering scrypt asics are coming out soon.

I hope someone else will chime in on the discussion.

Mining takes a long time to get a significant amount of coins.
If you trust the market you can buy now while the price and difficulty is still low.
Mining is fun, if you go for profit though you should just buy.

Just buy the LTC. At least they will probably rise in price, so it's a quicker and safer investment rather than investing in expensive mining equipment. Plus you have the energy costs to factor in.

I guess it depends on the computing resources which are available to you.

Define "better". You haven't told us what you intend to do with your coins. If you need them next week, then buying is better.

lol mining is profitable, if you sell at this current price

with 2mh/s(2-3 cards) you will extract 1 ltc per days, that's 30 dollar per day, i doubt you electricity  is 900 dollar in just one month, with just 2-3 cards

and ltc isn't even the most profitable
