In my own limited way…

I'm trying to switch regular purchases over to BTC as it becomes possible to do so. I just ordered a couple of months worth of coffee from bitbrew, using my lottery-get-rich-not-so-quick technique of buying slightly more BTC than I need and keeping the change.. as well as mining casually and keeping that long-term..

Are there any other regular material products you can get with BTC? Examples would be great. Must ship to the EU to be of any help to me though. I tried some awesome candy from belgianflavours..

If there's someone out there selling tobacco for BTC do point them out to me  Grin

Bravo!  The community needs more folks like you.   I bought some Alpaca socks.  There are other things you can buy listed here:

Were you the person who ordered several different types, some whole bean and the others with different grinds? That's all for you? I figured you were buying for several people to take advantage of the flat shipping rate.

Anyway, thanks for your patronage!

Still around.

So nice to see people using btc for real world items/services.

One question I have been asked : how do you handle the accounting ? You need to take goods off the books, do you mark them as sold ? Gifts/promotional material ?

Just wanted to say that I love the spirit of this thread, and hope it stays active for a long time. We all need to think more about what we can do to help the BTC economy grow. I'll admit that I have been thinking more in terms of selling my coins for USD, but I'm going to start thinking more about what stuff I need that I can buy with bitcoins.

If merchants can offer the same products I can normally get at a supermarket/walmart/target for the same price in BTC and have it shipped to my door, that's CONVENIENCE and a reason to use BTC.  It's also a good reason to dump money into the markets to simply buy BTC to immediately be used to purchase goods.  This increases demand, liquidity, and BTC value.

I'm currently running at a loss due to the current exchange rate just to provide a product at better prices than what you may find elsewhere. That's how I'm incentivizing participation in the bitcoin economy.

And I have to say it's working! That order was mine alright - ground for work, beans for home... and I need to find my favourites! you're right though, I was taking advantage of the flat shipping by buying in bulk, but I'll be back in two months with another order.. Thanks for supporting BTC, your prices are definitely the best around! (good comms too people I've even got a tracking number Smiley
Hopefully you're edging closer to profit already now that the price is going back up..

Can't wait to try your coffee, consumables purchased with BTC always taste better!

I'm curious too, tempted to set up that tobacco outlet if there isn't one, but I don't want any legal hassle.. is there a guide somewhere?
