Hello all,
To kick start the Globe economy I have modified open source Bitcoin business scripts. YES! You start your own Globe business for no cost at all. (Well apart from hosting and domain of course)

These have not been tested but and may some scripts may need further development but am almost certain the wallet, escrow and exchange script will work without too much hassle. If you do face an issue and/or have a fix please feel free to comment below.

What company handles the exchange back end?

I had thought that Buttercoin was mostly a closed source system, in which the only thing the released as free open source software was basically a sale funnal site that sends all the actual work to their servers, so that all it let you do was put your own logos on your own site while really sending all the actual trading / offers to their servers?

Buttercoin has not been updated for a while (couple months) on github so not sure if abandoned or working perfectly. To answer you question I think the entire thing is open-source you can even get the trading engine here : https://github.com/buttercoin/buttercoin-engine

Globe was launched in December of 2013.

Yes, this is just another $ sed -r "s/Bitcoin/Globe/g" fork. But ports and units of currency (GLB) have been changed as well. Additionally, file names have been changed to make it functional. E.g. after search and replace script will look for globe.html rather than bitcoin.html so file and folder names have been changed accordingly.
