8/9/2011 and later

Buying 50 coins $13 each.

I will pay via Dwolla or PayPal only. If PayPal I can pay as "payment owed" so that 1) I can't scam you and 2) you are not subject to any fees.

Terms:
You are required to use the Bitcoin escrow service www.mybitsafe.com
Why?
So that we can protect both of us from getting scammed.
I have used the service in the past and am a happy customer.

If you are interested either PM me or post in this thread and we can get a transaction started.

Quote from: Dwolla
ACH fraud can occur (e.g., stolen account used to make payments,
account holder falsely disputes a transaction they had authorized, etc.) so there is the risk of ACH chargebacks. In some circumstances, an ACH chargeback can occur within 180 days of the transaction.

Too risky, can be charged back just like Paypal.

What about Western Union? They have sales points everywhere. I'll sell for $12 per coin if you want to pay above market rate.
You save $50 dollars and no chargeback risks. Can be funded with cash instantly so that's a non-issue.

No, it's not. Look at the link.

Link lies,  sort of, it is unreachable, by the link you posted. Seems the dns for the site is down.   They must have it cached.   The site that tests if something is up or not is badly written since they don't recheck the dns it seems.   What you are testing here is not the same.  It works as mybitsafe.com it does not work as www.mybitsafe.com

Also, it is always a bit suspect when someone insists as hard as you are for a specific escrow.  Makes one wonder just how close you are with whomever is running it.

I should, but unfortunately I'm not familiar with "payment owed" from paypal, is there risk with that payment option to chargeback ? or this is really a good protection ? If yes I would integrate it into my services.

EDIT: Just read on other forums that people have still been "chargebacked" with "payment owed", it occurs when you claim your account have been hacked. So this is the exact same thing as normal paypal payment.

Yep, Dwolla is just as unsafe as Paypal. I'm never going to use their service since they do allow disputes and chargebacks.

I hope BTCrow.com will take Western Union some day.

Asking someone to sell something through an unknown escrow service is a very common scam.

Looks like this guy couldn't even keep his fake site online for very long.

In fact we only hold bitcoins for the moment, you can still use our escrow services as seller, mean that if you wanna exchange cash with Western Union or MoneyGram you can ask the buyer (bitcoin holder) to initiate an escrow and then send the payment, once the buyer (bitcoin holder) will receive the payment by Western Union or MoneyGram, he will be able to release the bitcoins. Be sure as a seller to have a proof which can be verified that the funds have been sent and accepted.

Yep,  unknown escrow is a very common scam.

In this case though, the site is up if you drop the www. part of the url.

Also, I have dealt in the past with kgo who seems to own the site ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=27673.0 ), and that deal went smoothly and well. So not sure what to think about ths OP in this thread.  I don't think I like the idea of a donation escrow anyway.

I'm the owner and operator of mybitsafe.com.  I didn't have the dns configured for www.mybitsafe.com, so the site only worked if you went to mybitsafe.com.  The problem has been corrected and both urls will work now.

I don't really appreciate being called a scammer, or my website being called unknown.  Plenty of people have used the site and there haven't been any incidents yet.  I personally have both bought and sold $1000's of dollars worth of goods with bitcoins, with dozens of other bitcoiners, without any problems on any of my deals.

I'm not in cahoots with beginningbitcoin, I don't even know the guy.

I should note that for a deal like this, it really only protects the person with the paypal.  Paypal deals can be reversed up to 180 days after the transaction is complete.  Please note I'm not saying this to cast aspersions at beginningbitcoin, I'm just pointing out a general knowon issue with paypal.

Yes. I thought to make a deal with OP but Mybitsafe is not intended to currency exchange, even useless if we use PayPal as payment method.

Can still chargeback with paypal (even as a gift).

Trust me, I've dealt with shitty communities (with a lot of scammers).
