Honestly, with $800 barrier being broken so quickly. I give it breaking in the next 24 hours.
Simply, the big wealthy players will not allow most bitcoin holders to cash out so high, anything over $500 is very high.

Its crazy how fast it is falling. But it was even crazier that bitcoin went as high as it did, and even crazier that it stayed at the peak for as long as it did. If you didn't cash out above $1000 your simply greedy as ever. |

Oh how short sighted everyone here is...
I remember it hitting $27 then crashing down ... eventually hitting $3 months later.
I remember hitting $260. Then it crashed down to $75 very quickly.
So it hit $1200 for a while now we are on our way down...
Whatever - I just know eventually I'll see $1200 again someday and it will be skyrocketing past that going to a new plateau.

There is a lot of downward price pressure and not a great deal of resistance. This general denotes the start of a panicked sell of. It's very easy to get trapped in a situation like this because one the the sell off hits full speed the price drops can be catastrophically large and happen very quickly. In stock terms, imagine if Coca Cola was discovered to be the cause of AIDS. Disbelief and then blind panic selling. |

Looking at coin and USD depth is usually a strong predictor of prices, we now have coin depth of >30K which is the highest it has been in a month, and USD depth is down to 25mil. 25mil / 30K = 833 so current prices are actually under the Bid/Ask divisor for the first time in many months (prices have been nearly twice the divisor since September).
I'm not sure what to take from that but to reach a $500 Bid/Ask divisor we would need either another 20K BTC to appear or for USD to drop to 15mil. The appearance of more coins is more likely then the disappearance of that many dollars based on past crashes. Over the last 2 days we saw coins appear at a rate of 5K a day so if USD stabilizes and BTCs move at the rate they are now it will take 4 days, but trends tend to accelerate rather then remain stable. Thus I will hedge and say 48 hours.
