So this is a really basic post. I understand forums and restricted forums. Here is the reason I'm posting. I've wanted to post at multiple alt coin forums, so I sign up only to not be able to post.

To me this system seems flawed. I've been mining over 8 months and have helped many people building Ubuntu 13.04 mining rigs.

The question I ask is why are new alt coin replies restricted? If your following your model, new members = noobs. New coin = noob coin. So why restrict all of us who don't just want to talk about bitcoin?

I'm having the same frustration. XD The system is there for a reason though. It only takes 4 hours to get access if you are actively posting though. Obnoxious but not too bad.

Because this is the Bitcointalk forum. There are other forums for alt currencies (e.g. litecointalk). The bitcoin forum was kind enough to host a board for alt currencies. But it has the same restrictions as any board does.

I think it's better this way for few reasons that it won't inspire thousands of altcoins to rise in an instant.

Exactly.
You may find it annoying, but it is there to stop (at least reduce) spam.
