Selling about 1100 and buying back at 550 - doable?

I've sold all above 1100 - but failed to catch it at 550.

Sorry - I am not a native speaker of English - I thought that having twice as much BTC is doubling the amount and halving would be the opposite.

Sold at 1-1.1k after the initial China news.
Bought back at 670ish.  Didn't double but I'm happy.

Correction? What correction? All I see is a -54% crash that's not over yet.

A crash would be worse, we are back at the level we were in November so what ? a crash is different, thats a correction.
Call it a crash when it goes under 255$

Might be - we'll see. I bought and sold back on the bounce - the weekend is not over yet - but it should bounce at least half or the way on Monday. Which means that there is still opportunity for doubling Smiley

I am doing Litecoins and sold 30 yesterday at 34 USD.
Today BTC-e filled my order to buy 46 LTC at 22 USD.
So 16 LTC profit last night. Thats 500/600 USD once this dip ends

I'll call it a crash according to my own criteria, thanks very much. Any time it loses half its value or more it's a crash to me. I'm fine with you bulls calling a sudden -33% movement a correction, but not -50%. That'll always be a crash in my book, no matter how fast the recovery (and there hasn't been one yet).

Agreed, the more sophisticated and wealthy investors who control large amounts of money will usually win. They have to make their money somehow, and its from people like us they make it from. You could always get lucky, but no thankyou.

Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless — like water. Now you put water in a cup, it becomes the cup; You put water into a bottle it becomes the bottle; You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.

I'm just pissed because I left work to go talk to a friend of mine who owns a pawn shop.  He showed me an M1 Garand he had for sale and was offering it to me slightly above cost.  I told him I'd think about it, but thought I'd sell a bitcoin when I got back to the office and over the weekend wait for the cash transfer, then go buy it on Monday.

But nooooo, the bitcoin gods were against me, and at some point during the day before I had a chance to sell, I notice the sell price at well below 1000, i was all like "what the hell??"

So now I gotta wait for it to climb back up before I can set my hands on that beautiful match grade M1 Garand. *sigh*

all you whales doubling your bitcoins, and I'm just happy to be able to sell just one coin. Smiley
